Korean company Nerigo has designed a simple evacuation platform which enables people, mainly elderly resident which can’t make it easily down the stairs, quickly escape the danger of fire to safety. As you can see the design features a simple platform with release break which lowers you to floor bellow, from where you can take a next Nerigo plafor to floor below. After stepping off the Nerigo platform the mechanical winch pulls the platform back up. Despite the interesting idea, it raises many questions regarding safety and how people would behave in real emergency or during fire when they are disoriented and having trouble to see.
